In a deciduous forest, the light conditions vary throughout the year due to the changing seasons. In the spring and summer, when the trees have their leaves, the canopy is dense and blocks much of the sunlight from reaching the forest floor. This creates a shaded environment with dappled light filtering through the leaves. In the fall and winter, when the leaves have fallen, more sunlight reaches the forest floor, creating a brighter environment. Overall, deciduous forests experience both shaded and sunny conditions depending on the time of year. **

The light conditions in a coniferous forest can vary depending on the density of the trees and the time of day. In general, coniferous forests tend to have lower light levels compared to deciduous forests due to the dense canopy created by the tall evergreen trees. This canopy blocks out a significant amount of sunlight, resulting in dappled or filtered light reaching the forest floor. As a result, plants and animals in coniferous forests have adapted to thrive in lower light conditions. **
